REXONA RUN TO YOUR BEAT: Running gets pumped up

This October, let the pulsating beats push you harder to DO: MORE as Rexona Philippines brings you a kind of race like no other.

Now on its fourth year, the Rexona Run 2013 is adding a unique and exciting twist to running with “Run to Your Beat” where people will race to the finish line under the glow of neon lights with live, bass-pumping music from the country’s hottest DJs and bands.

“This was inspired by the insight that when you run to the beat of music, you run faster, you go further, you’re energized to do more,” Rexona Philippines Brand Manager Mar Corazo said.

From the gun start, live music will be played throughout the race track in 5K, 10K and 15K categories and culminates in a party at the finish line. Dubbed as the country’s first multi-sensorial night run, the 5K race will have performances by Delta Street, Sandwhich, The Diego, DJ Mia Ayessa, Deuce Manila and DJ Nina; the 10K will rock with Funk Avy and DJ Khai; the 21K participants can get to see all the performances, including those from Rico Blanco, Elmo Magalona and DJ Mars Miranda.

The music choice per race category is designed to condition the participants (regardless if they are professional or recreational runners) and help them achieve their fastest run limit.

“It’s been proven that listening to music unleashes your energy, allowing you to run further,” said Rexona partner and running expert Coach Rio dela Cruz.

Though it was called a night run, the gun start will be at 3:00 A.M. for 12K leg, 3:30 A.M. for 10K, and 3:45 A.M. for 5K.

Get ready to DO: MORE and Run to Your Beat on October 20, 2013 at the Mall of Asia Grounds.  Registration is ongoing until October 16, 2013 at Riovanna Stores in Bonifacio Global City and Katipunan, and Toby’s outlets in the SM Mall of Asia and SM North The Block.
