DAY 3: ORCHARD DAY

To those who love the FINER THINGS IN LIFE, Orchard Road is the place for you!

Today, we headed to Singapore’s iconic shopping and entertainment hub. Simply referred to as Orchard, it is surrounded with upmarket restaurants, coffee shops, hotels and retail shops.

The ION ORCHARD is a luxurious mall that is home to flagship stores (built in duplex units) of international designer brands like Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Prada and many others. Feast your eyes with luxurious finds in other high street brands such as Topshop, Fred Perry, Armani Exchange, etc.

Well, I’m not surprised that a lot of people here in Singapore can afford those brands. Given the country’s economic status, I think it is a common view to see Singaporeans carrying at least one Louis Vuitton paper bag in MRT.

DAY 4: TODAY IS MOM’S BIRTHDAY!

One of the main reasons why we chose the third week of January to schedule our trip in Singapore is to make it a memorable and special birthday treat for our Mom!

So today, January 28, marked our Mom’s 52^nd birthday! But before our family dinner at Swensen’s Restaurant in Changi Airport, we went at Pasir Ris Park to give mom a relaxing time with the nature.

This charming and tranquil park in eastern part of Singapore features a carefully preserved 6-hectare mangrove forest. Park goers can enjoy a lot of outdoor activities here such as cycling, jogging, badminton, etc. Or you can just simply sit back and relax as you savor the beauty of nature!

Swensen’s

Birthdays will never be complete without some good food. So after our beach strolling, we capped off our Mom’s special day with a delectable dinner at Swensen’s, Changi Airport.
