Indulge in a timeless dining experience reminiscent
of the Commonwealth Era as Casa Roces, the quaint ancestral home of the
prominent Roces clan opened its doors for La
Azotea concept.

Overview of La Azotea |
Located on the second floor of Casa Roces, La Azotea is an intimate dining concept that brings back the glamour of the “golden days” where people used to dress up over a meal (it rings back to me the classic novel characters like Crisostomo Ibarra and Maria Clara, among others).
With its intricately prepared four-course lineup by
the Cravings Group, La Azotea is ideal for families or groups who want to
experience that “nostalgic” kind of dinner. (note: photos below are taken from my phone's camera. hehe)

Start your meal right with amuse-bouche which is camembert and strawberry confit in phyllo crust.

Follow it up with salad of pan-fried harissa shrimps on watermelon-feta salad with fresh mint and balsamic vinaigrette.

Continue your cravings in the main course, which is a choice between fish or meat: the milk-poached salmon fillet on garlic pestai, tomato and bacon fricasse with organe hollandaise; or the porchetta served on roasted vegetables, sauteed rapini with chocolate-port wine sauce.

And to wrap up your classic dining experience is the flourless chocolate tart with fresh berries and pistachio.

There are three specific rooms that cater to the concept of La Azotea. These rooms, named after the publications owned by
the Roces family, exude classic and elegant design characterized by art-filled
walls, fresh ornaments, and sophisticated furniture.

The Tribune Room a.k.a "The Proposal Room":
Perfect for dating. Famous celebrity couples who dine here
include Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera |
|
The Liwayway Room: for group of couples or friends. Can accommodate
up to 12 persons |
|
The Daily Tribune Room: considered to be the biggest room.
Since Casa Roces is near Malacanang, President Noynoy Aquino
is said to dine here. |
The fusion of Spanish and Filipino taste plus an exquisite ambiance make La Azotea a place to be this Valentine’s season!
Casa Roces is located at 1153 J. P. Laurel corner
Aguado Streets, San Miguel, Manila.
